  • Prayer Request for Shirley’s daughter Beth.

    My friend Shirley has been coming off and on since I invited her to the kids program in December. She herself is dealing with a number of health issues, and couldn’t come today because she felt too weak, but this prayer specifically is for her daughter Beth.

    Beth has been having seizures starting at age 12. At first they weren’t too bad but as she got older they grew more frequent and more intense. She cannot drive or work at this point. I believe she’s probably 45-ish give or take. About three years ago they put some sort of electronic device in her chest to try to help with the seizures. Last May, she had brain surgery to insert some sort of device in her brain. At that time they removed a small piece of her skull on the side of her head to put the device in. In November, she started having weird symptoms and went back up to Indianapolis after she had checked them out with doctors here. She went up for a regular check up and they insisted she stay because somehow she had an infection in her brain due to the device. They did surgery the next day to remove the device and had to remove her entire skull on the top. Right now she’s got some sort of drain for the infection on the left side and has to hold some kind of antibiotic “suitcase” in her right arm everywhere she goes. Needless to say she doesn’t get out.
    Right now she has some sort of helmet on but this Friday, they are going to somehow are affix a plastic piece to protect the skull so it will be fitted on her head. Also, replacing the battery that’s in her device in her chest.
    Beth needs a miracle. She is worn out, tired, and doesn’t want to live like this. They want to try another device in her skull in the fall, but she is thinking she doesn’t want to go through anymore. Needless to say Shirley can understand that, but also, it’s very overwhelming to hear her daughter give up and just want to be done because she has no life.
    Please lift both Shirley and Beth up as they walk this path. Thank you so much prayer warriors. Love you all, Becky Roebling.

    I was sitting on the edge of my bed on Saturday and my left ear did a weird thing l cannot describe the feeling but l have had hearing problems in that ear for months. l must of gotten a touch from God as my ear open up and l can hear on left ear now as good as my right! Thank you for the touch of God!

    Jay's dad (my father-in-law) has been in and out of the hospital lately with pneumonia. He was taken to the ER last night with heart issues. He is currently still waiting for a room, but he is on oxygen and not doing too well. We would appreciate your prayers for him.

    Praise the Lord! my sister , Debbie had her throat surgery today, and it was successful. The doctor said the two Lasik procedures help to shrink the cysts, so it was easier to do the surgery today. Prayers needed for the recovery, she’s not supposed to talk for a week.     Petra seen her doctor this morning and praise God, she is CANCER FREE! She will now start a lighter treatment every six weeks. She is still at Encompass for therapy as her body is very weak. She is learning to use walker. According to doctor, this weakness as well as the neuropathy are from the Chemo, and should all clear up eventually. In the meantime, please continue with prayers that God will work quickly in returning her to perfect health. Thanks!
