  • Prayer Request for Brother-in-law John

    My brother-in-law was diagnosed with MDS leukemia this week. It is connected to his exposure to Agent Orange during Vietnam War. He is got some other health issues from the same cause, has had 37 surgeries on his legs and circulatory system. He is not eligible for a bone marrow transplant, which would cure it, and he cannot do the chemo so the best they can give him is seven days a month he will have to have blood transfusions. He was given nine months if he did not have the transfusions and no timeline with them please pray that the transfusions slow this cancer down. They are very strong Christians. My sister does not handle things well long story. So pray for strength and God‘s wisdom for both of them please thank you , Becky Roebling

  • Prayer Request for Update on Embry

    Message: Sleep study had to be stopped and trach put back in at one am bc Embry was needing more than 2 liters of oxygen. He was having a lot of secretions and not able to cough them up well. Heart rate is high (130-150s, as opposed to 50s and 60s normally when he is sleeping) and he's struggling to keep oxygen in 90s on significant oxygen support. They just did a chest X-ray to look at his lungs and his trach placement. He may need to be moved from pulmonary unit to the PICU.

    Embry is struggling right now with keeping his airway clear of secretions. With the stoma still there, it's difficult. If he can't keep his oxygen up and carbon dioxide levels down, he won't be able to do the sleep study and keep his trach out
