  • Prayer Request for Marsha and Mike Sexton

    Marsha & Mike attended OHCC years ago before moving to Arizona. I just got this request from Mike.
    Please pray for Marsha & that I can help her to do as the Dr asks.
    Dr wants Marsha to stay off her knee as much as possible for next 2-3 weeks or so. She's to use the walker in the house & everywhere she has to go.
    Next step unless the Lord heals her is replacement of the other knee. We are looking into robotic assisted surgery with a different dr. A lady at church approached us on this new dr a couple times so I don't think that is coincidence. Recovery is supposed to be easier after the robotic assist. Marsha previously had a shoulder replacement which has healed very well & all praise to the Lord God Almighty that she has really great range of motion in it. Thanks for your prayers that all goes well.

    Mike has had six very difficult and scary weeks, but he is much improved from a few weeks ago. They were finally able to do the surgery to put a defibrillator in his heart. Although he is still very ill, they will hopefully be able to transfer him to an acute care facility back home in Evansville this week and restart the chemo therapy to slow down the amyloidosis and multiple myeloma. He will not be a candidate for a heart transplant, but hopefully will have more good days with his loved ones. The day of the big turnaround a few weeks ago, he said God told him he's giving him another chance. He is in very good spirits in spite of everything and we continue to pray for healing and rest, and strength for his wife Karla. Thank you!

    Randy is in rehab after spending the weekend in the hospital. He has a UTI. Sepsis, and Pneumonia in both lungs. He is a neighbor and friend. Please, pray with me for his healing and recovery.

    My brother in law, Johnny had hip surgery and has an abscess where the incision is. Surgery is scheduled at 1 today. They said he would be on IV antibiotics for 6 weeks. Please remember him in your prayers.

    They undressed my hand today and took the staples out and re-dressed. Good news is no skin graft!!!! Praise God! Bad news is I’m having terrible pain even with extra medication. Would love the prayer train to start moving! ♥️. Becky

    My youngest sister, Katie, is in surgery for hernia repair. She has put it off for over ten years. They came and said the surgeon wants to talk to us. Apparently, there is some complication, but it's been almost an hour and he hasn't come in. Appreciate prayers for her healing and protection, and especially her relationship with God. Thanks.     This girl is superwoman! Her hat says it all, pray with us this morning. Staples coming out and evaluating how the hand has been healing. We are believing for no graft and the doctors surprised at the progress and healing to this hand. Jesus is the great physician
