  • Prayer Request for Embry, Monday morning update

    Increasing epi to keep BP 60+, it was in 50s. Chest xray was worse today than yesterday on both sides, so increasing BIPAP settings. Still no growth on cultures. Taking out Foley today to help prevent infection, but there's a possibility they will have to put one back in if he retains too much fluid due to the meds he's on. Trying to get him sitting up more to help with moving air into lungs. May also need to put him more on his belly if they can't wean BIPAP. On FI02 of 85 right now to help lungs reinflate fully. Still a very sick boy.

    Cheryl has been diagnosed with cancer and she is currently undergoing
    Chemotherapy. Please keep her in your prayers that there will be no side affects and also that the treatment kills all cancer cells. With God all things are possible! Thanks!

    Embry is really struggling to keep his oxygen levels up now. He's been a train wreck all day with coming off all the opioids, but he's having a harder time than he has all day. He needs to settle down and keep his sats up. He needs to sleep. He is exhausted and unable to rest. We are worried and exhausted. My anxiety is really bad.

    Restless night, but otherwise doing well. So thankful for propofol and morphine. The plan is to extubate today. Praying he is ready and done with the vent!! He should be less agitated and need less sedation.

    Day 15: It was a long, restless night, but Embry is going to surgery later this morning! Praying for a significant, successful reduction in his curve, no spinal cord injuries, pain control, no complications or pneumonia this time, and complete healing of his incision. He has been on so much sedation for 2 weeks and he has a crazy high tolerance for all the drugs now. Prayers for rest for his little body and mind as he goes thru this long recovery and healing process. Our tiny but mighty little hero has a ways yet to go.

    I was told there were 12-15 tumors taken out of her left arm and several from her left hip. Her left arm will be incapacitated for a while. Please, pray for quick recovery. Also pray for the recovery pain. Thank you
